Nine persons sustained injuries after the Ecoland 4000 condominium collapsed following a 6.5 magnitude earthquake jolted the Southern part of Mindanao, Thursday morning, Davao City Police Office spokesperson confirmed.
According to Police Capt. Nolan Tagsip, the injured persons were all rescued inside the building. They are still determining if there are other people trapped inside the establishment.
Initial information say the condominium has 56 rooms but only 15 units are occupied.
As of this posting, the Davao City Police Office said there were also six vehicles destroyed after the building’s carpark at the first level collapsed. (MN)
