Duterte in Davao City during Mindanao quake to visit parents’ tomb — Palace

President Rodrigo Duterte was in Davao when the earthquake struck and is safe, says Presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo.

Duterte is in Davao to commemorate All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day and is set to visit the graves of his parents.

Panelo said the President is safe after the magnitude 6.5 earthquake struck with the epicenter traced in Tulunan town in Cotabato.

Duterte will spend All Souls’ Day, Nov. 2 in Thailand as he will be attending the 35th Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit and Related Summits from November 2 to 4.
