In commemoration in the accession of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, all institutions, ministries, schools, and citizens and residents in the UAE are called to participate by raising their flag at a specific time of the day.
It’s Flag Day on November 3 in the UAE.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, who introduced the initiative in 2013, made a call on Twitter to raise the flag at 11 a.m. on that day.
He emphasized that the UAE flag is “a symbol of their unity and sovereignty”.
He added that the raising of the flag together is an expression of “belonging to the UAE”.
