Residents in Kalba faced flooded streets following the aftermath of Cyclone Kyarr as it caused high waves from the seas which penetrated through the inland areas.
Sharjah Police immediately responded towards the area to help residents and families within the neighborhoods to safely traverse through the floods and get to safety.
In a post from their official Twitter account, Sharjah Police officials were seen doing hands-on work as they assist residents in moving dirt and debris, as well as monitoring the area for families that need further help.
The flooded areas reach several coastal areas which prompted authorities to close several roads. Authorities have urged motorists to steer clear of the flooded areas until roads have been cleared of flooding.
Current bulletins from the National Centre for Meteorology state that Cyclone Kyar is moving towards the Oman-Yemen coasts for the coming days.
