A Dubai court has sentenced an Asian man to three months in prison and ordered his deportation from the UAE after he was found guilty of molesting a 14-year-old girl.
The defendant, a bottled water seller, tried to kiss the girl inside her apartment after noticing her parents were not in.
He offered her Dh100 so she would let him hold her hand but she refused and asked him to leave.
Court was told that the girl opened the door for the man after she recognized him and asked him to leave the box of bottled water at the door. But he insisted on putting the water in the fridge.
When girl refused to let him touch her, he told the girl that her father owes him money and that he would forgive him if she gives him a little present.
“When she asked him what present he wants, he pointed to his mouth, indicating he wanted her to kiss him,” the Arabic language daily Emarat Alyoum said.
“She refused again and started to scream…he was forced to flee and the girl phoned her mother, who called the police.”
