A Ukranian man is facing eight years in jail for chopping off the penis of the man who allegedly sexually assaulted his wife.
The 27-year-old and his wife were at a restaurant at the time when his wife left a little earlier and headed home last October 13.
A few meters away from their apartment, the 25-year-old suspect reported grabbed the woman from behind and covered her mouth.
The husband who followed her wife after 10 minutes heard noises coming from the bushes on his way home.
He saw his wife being strangled while the suspect tried to rape his wife. He attacked the suspect in the head with his fist and cut off the rapist’s penis with a Swiss army knife.
“I cannot explain what happened to me at that moment,” the man told the Daily Mail.
Meanwhile, the suspect was brought to the nearest hospital in hopes to reattach his penis. It is unclear though if doctors were able to successfully reattach it.
The alleged rapist faces five years in prison.
