Dubai makes it to Lonely Planet’s top 10 cities to visit in 2020

With the upcoming World Expo 2020, Dubai has been recently placed in Lonely Planet’s top 10 cities to visit next year.

Dubai ranked 9th in the list of cities that were voted by a panel of travel experts.

Lonely Planet also highlighted the opening of the Museum of the Future where it will showcase “a cabinet of next-gem wonders in an eye-shaped building festooned with calligraphy”.

Another exciting attraction to visit in this city is “The World”, a Europe-themed fantasy resort on an artificial archipelago shaped like the world map.

The first guests can experience the “only-in-Dubai phenomena” such as underwater bedrooms and year-round snow.

Topping the list is Salzburg, Austria whose Salzburg Festival is turning 100 next year.

Second on the list is Washington, D.C. in the United States of America (USA) offering a revitalized waterfront, iconic museums and monuments as among the places you can visit next year. You can also check out the sustainability efforts they’ve been doing in an effort to make the city look greener than ever.

The other cities that made it to the list are Cairo in Egypt (3rd), Galway, Ireland (4th), Bonn, Germany (5th), La Paz, Bolivia (6th), Kochi, India (7th), Vancouver, Canada (8th), and Denver, USA (10th).
