Al-Futtaim Toyota goes pink this October

DUBAI: As part of its support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Al-Futtaim Toyota, in collaboration with Pink Caravan mini-mobile clinic has provided free screenings to over 120 female associates in the third week of October.

As part of the initiative, up to 70 women aged between 20 and 39 benefited from a complimentary Clinical Breast Examination (CBE) conducted by Pink Caravan’s healthcare professionals. The free checks were designed to help with early detection of the disease, thereby improving chances of full recovery.

An additional 50 women aged 40 years and above were able to benefit from a free Mammogram screening offered onboard the mobile caravan.

The initiative also included an informative lecture on breast cancer, its causes and detection methods to provide greater awareness of the disease.

“Al-Futtaim Toyota has a social responsibility towards the communities we operate in. It is with this in mind that we have collaborated with the Pink Caravan mini mobile clinic to ensure we do our part in helping our female associates get greater knowledge about this disease. Besides a healthy diet, lifestyle and cleaner environmental choices, early detection is one of the most vital weapons in the fight against breast cancer and we urge all women to take advantage and get tested,” said Suzan Kazzi, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Al-Futtaim Toyota.

Pink Caravan is a Pan UAE breast cancer initiative that falls under Friends of Cancer Patients’ umbrella “Kashf” for early detection of cancer.
