Expect heavy rains in UAE until Thursday, says NCM

Expect a wet and colder weather in the UAE today after the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) release weather forecast about high chances of rain from Monday afternoon until Thursday.

Temperatures were also went as low as 17.7 degrees Celsius over Jebel Jais mountain at 1 a.m. while other areas have temperatures not going beyond 29 degrees Celsius.

There’s also fog formation in some areas between 3:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

NCM said fog formation will also be experienced on Tuesday, Wednesday, and, Thursday morning.

Meanwhile, NCM captured the heavy rain with hail in Fujairah on Sunday.

In the video posted on their official Instagram account, small pellets of frozen rain can be seen falling on the road.


NCM also shared another video of the hail hitting Dibba Road in Masafi.


The weather bureau issued a separate advisory of convective cloud formation accompanied by rainfall in Fujairah, Al Dhaid, Masafi, Tawyeen, and other nearby areas.

Other areas that had heavy rain with hail include Sih Al Bahah and Asimah in Ras Al Khaimah.
