Php1 billion pair of shoes unveiled in Dubai

For Italian designer Antonio Vietri recently introduced his latest master piece – a pair of shows worth Dh73 million or a whooping $19.9 USD.

Convert it to Philippine peso and that’s P1-billion pesos!

Named as the “Moon Star Shoes,” this was the centerpiece of the “Made in Italy, Designed in Emirates Fashion Week.” The launch was held on a yacht in Dubai Marina last weekend, according to Daily Mail.

What’s so special about this shoes?

The heel alone is solid gold and a chunk of real meteorite, which was recovered in Argentina in 1576. The heel also depicts Dubai’s Burj Khalifa skyscraper that stands 163 stories and more than 2,700 feet tall.

The shoes also features 30 carats of diamonds.

This is not the first time the Italian designer and UAE-based shoemaker did this.

In 2017, he also showcased a pair of 24-carat gold stilettos worth £26,000 or more than P1-million pesos.
