Presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo has confirmed that President Rodrigo Duterte has been wearing an air purifier to protect himself from diseases.
Duterte was seen wearing personal wearable air purifier necklace in a number of his occassions and speeches.
“Para he will be protected from persons within his proximity who have coughs and colds,” Panelo explained.
Duterte wore the air purifier necklace during his meeting with Indian President Ram Nath Kovind.
He was also wearing the device during a business conference in Manila and a launching event in Taguig City.
The President recently admitted that he has a neurological disorder.
He also underwent several medical tests like colonoscopy and endoscopy. He also subjects himself to regular blood tests.
