Man to be deported for money cloning in Dubai

A court in Dubai sentenced an African to six months in prison, fined him Dh200,000 and ordered his deportation after he was convicted of swindling nearly Dh12 million from victims by selling them counterfeit money.

Police arrested the man after receiving reports that he was deceiving victims into believing that he can multiply their money with a magic liquid.

A police undercover met the defendant and agreed with him to make money in foreign currency.

After paying him and the defendant started the process, police waiting outside swooped on the hotel room and arrested him.

The African was accused of selling nearly 45 million forged dollars and euros for around Dh12 million.
