A court in Dubai sentenced a 25-year-old Asian to six months in prison and ordered his deportation from the country after he was found guilty of threatening to kill an Asian girl because she refused to give him a kiss.
According to court files, the defendant met the 28-year-old girl at work and started to call her over the next weeks but she rebuffed him.
When she was invited to a friend’s birthday party, he offered to give her a lift as he was invited as well, local reports said.
On the way to the party, he stopped at an isolated place and asked for a kiss but she refused.
He then pulled a knife and threatened to kill.
“She was forced to give him a kiss… As he was kissing her, she managed to open the car door and escape. She then reported him to the police,” the Arabic language daily Albayan said.
