Vice President Leni Robredo aired her frustrations on the ongoing electoral protest filed by losing candidate Bongbong Marcos.
Robredo then hit Marcos over his repeated claims that he was cheated on the 2019 polls.
“So ilang panalo pa ba ang kailangan para maniwala siya na hindi siya ‘yung nanalo,” she said.
The Supreme Court, sitting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET), refuses to vote on the dismissal of Marcos’s poll protest.
The High Court then voted to release a copy of the poll recount results to both parties in order to give their comments and argue their side.
11-2 of justices voted in favor of the release of poll recount to both parties.
Two justices, including Senior Associate Justice Antonio Carpio and Justice Benjamin Caguioa have expressed their dissent on the decision.
“We still maintain our belief that there is no acceptable decision but to dismiss the protest in accordance with Rule 65 of the PET, and in accordance with the results of the recount,” Robredo said.
The Vice President said that Marcos did not get a substantial recovery on the recount of three pilot provinces, Camarines Sur, Iloilo and Negros Oriental.
