UAE, Russia sign agreements, memoranda of understanding

Several agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed between the UAE and Russia as President Vladimir Putin began his state visit to the UAE, October 15.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, witnessed the signing together with Putin.

According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the agreements span various vital sectors including trade and investment and sustainability and the environment.

Both world leaders also held an official meeting at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi welcomed the Russian President and his accompanying delegation earlier today.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed expressed his hopes that Putin’s visit to the UAE would achieve the set goals and objectives to bolster UAE-Russia ties across multiple sectors, in the interest of the two countries and their friendly citizens.
