Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in the United Arab Emirates for a historic official visit.
He was welcomed by UAE’s Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
Russian Ambassador to the UAE, Sergei Kuznetsov said Putin’s visit will mark the strengthened relationship between UAE and Russia.
“The visit reflects the strong overall strategic partnership between the two countries and will enhance their cooperation in vital sectors,” he said.
The visit comes following the successful space mission of the first Emirati astronaut, Hazzaa AlMansoori who worked with Russia’s space team.
A UAE-Russian week was also organized alongside Putin’s visit. The event will be held at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi.
