Former Dubai OFW kills 5-year-old daughter, stabs eldest child 26 times with scissors

A former Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) from Dubai killed her five-year-old daughter by suffocation and stabbed her 11-year-old daughter 26 times.

According to a report from GMA News TV’s Quick Response Team (QRT), Police Capt. Lindlet Sales Tibuc, chief of the Rizal (Laguna) Police, said initial investigation revealed that the mother of the two kids was under the influence of drugs when she did brutal crime.

He identified the suspect as 30-year-old Ana Loraine Medalla, who allegedly admitted she sniffed shabu before attacking her kids on Tuesday morning inside their home in Viriña Subdivision, Barangay Tuy.

Catherina, 5, died while Keisha Kayle, 11, is still under observation at the Rizal Infirmary, as of this afternoon.

Ana used a pair of scissors in stabbing Keisha. She used a pillow in suffocating Catherina.

Ana is now in the custody of the police.

Her husband is working in Dubai as a maintenance worker.

She used to worked in Dubai and he met her husband there.

She is facing a charge of parricide.
