Man threatens uncle with katana, claims he was ‘possessed’

A gulf national was arrested after threatening his uncle by pointing a sword at him.

The Sharjah police said that they responded to a call about the incident and immediately headed to the area, where they caught the suspect red handed, as per a report from Khaleej Times.

The suspect allegedly threatened the family of his uncle in Al Yash area in Sharjah and demanded for a huge sum. Initial investigations state that the Gulf national claims that he was “possessed by the devil” and that he did not mean to attack his relative.

However, the authorities found out that the suspect already had prior criminal records including possession and usage of illegal drugs.
