Former Senate President and PDP-Laban Founder Aquilino ‘Nene’ Pimentel is now in a hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
This was confirmed by PDP-Laban Spokesperson Ron Munsayac.
“We are humbly asking our friends and partymates in the @PDPLABAN to pray for the full & speedy recovery of our founder and Chairman Emeritus Tatay Aquilino “Nene” Pimentel, Jr. who is currently in the ICU,” Munsayac said in a tweet.
Pimentel is the father of current senator Koko Pimentel.
He served as Senate President from 2000-2001. He is also a staunch advocate of a federal form of government.
