The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) has recently introduced a new digital platform that will now allow litigants to see the instant translation of judgments into five languages including Filipino.

This will now be available in Abu Dhabi courts in order to help litigants understand the content and what to do next.

This is the first of its kind in the world in judicial systems, according to ADJD in a report by The Khaleej Times.

Litigants just need to scan a QR code in order to get the translations in their desired language.

Other languages like English, Hindi, Russian, and Urdu are also available.

Yousef Saeed Al Abri, undersecretary of the ADJD, said this will “accelerate their steps towards being a world-class judicial system”.

In order to maintain quality and consistency, authorities will use templates and special terminology.

Litigants can also recognize which court issued the decision as the duplicates will have distinctive colors to highlight quality and consistency.

In addition, there will be educational videos that will be shown in order to illustrate the procedures to be taken following the judgments. This will include the process for filing appeals, time limits for contesting judgments before the appellate or cassation courts, and the methods of enforcing judgments for each case type.
