UAE will host for the first time the Jiu-Jitsu World Championship to be held at the Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi on Nov. 16-24.
This will also be the first-ever ‘No GI’ category Dubai International Championship held in outdoor settings of Jumeirah Beach Residence on January 10.
A total of Dh2.6 million is the of prizes, excluding the world professional championship.
This is up from last season’s Dh1.8 million.
The season will culminate in the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship from April 11 to 18 next year.
Last Sunday, the Emirati Jiu-Jitsu National Team bagged eight gold, silver and bronze medals at the recently concluded German Open Jiu-Jitsu in Hanau.
According to the report from the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the team got three golds, three silvers, and two bronzes during the championship.
