Pinoy airport worker earns praises from US President

A Filipino Overseas Worker at the Chicago O’Hare International Airport earns the praises for preventing a disaster when a cart continuously run in circles near airplanes at the tarmac last month.

The praises for Jorge Manalang did not just came from his fellow airport workers and passengers from plane but by US President Donald Trump himself.

Trump tweeted “Great job. Just in time!” while sharing the video where Manalang crashed the cart he was driving to stop the other malfunctioning cart which was about to hit an airplane nearby.

A water container was stuck at the pedal of the beverage cart which triggered it to continuously run around in circles.

His colleagues called him a hero for preventing damages to the airplane and preventing injuries of other airport workers and passengers aboard the plane.

Manalang is a Ramp instructor of Envoy Air.
