Paypal to hire additional 1,000 people in its workforce in PH

Online payment solutions Paypal is set to hire 1,000 workers after it recently inaugurated its first consolidated operations site in the Philippines.

According to the company, the new hires will add to the company’s current workforce in its global operations center in Alabang. It currently employs 700 people.

Most of the jobs being offered are customer support, voice and non-voice processes, and risk management to cater to English-speaking customers worldwide.

The office in Alabang is said to be designed for millennials. It has rest areas, a karaoke room, and a games area. There is also a modern cafeteria serving organic food that easily can be converted into a function zone complete with built-in LED screens and a state-of-the-art sound systems for events.

The recent opening of its office in Alabang, according to Paypal, reinforces the Philippines’ reputation as a “hotbed for talent”.
