‘Challenge accepted’: Panelo to commute to Malacañang

Presidential Spokesperon Salvador Panelo took the challenge to commute using public transport after drawing flak on his comments regarding the transport crisis.

“What do they mean by transportation crisis? All I see is traffic. We can all get rides,” Panelo was quoted by media as saying.

He said there’s no transport crisis because everyone reaches their destinations.

“May solusyon naman doon. If you want to arrive early in your destination, then you go there earlier,” Panelo explained.

The Presidential spokesman then issued a clarification that he understands the sentiments of the riding public.

In a message to reporters on Wednesday, Panelo said he is ready to commute on Friday, Oct. 11.

  1. Transportation Crisis is different from traffic problem…Panelo was right, we have all the means of transportation and routes to everywhere in the Philippines, kaya nga sumusobra na yung traffic dahil sa dame na ng sasakyan na tumatakbo sa mga kalsada natin…isa pang patunay na umuunlad na ang bayan natin dahil marami na ang nakaka-afford na bumili ng sasakyan! Almost every city in the world (especially the capital!) are notoriously having big problems about the traffic, it’s not only us guy’s!!!
