A judge at a Ras Al Khaimah court succeeded in convincing a man and his son to end their financial rift and close the lawsuit after passionately telling them that there will be “no winners” in their court case.
The father had filed a lawsuit accusing his son of assaulting him and damaging his house’s furniture following a financial dispute.
In court, the judge told the son: “I advise you to settle the dispute with your father as our religion taught us to be good and respect our parents.”
He added: “I request you both to resolve your dispute out of court because I can tell you that there will be neither winners nor losers in this case.”
Newspapers said the son immediately agreed to the judge’s request and dropped his charges. His father also dropped the charges against his son and offered to pay court fees to close the case at once, they added.
