DOLE: Russia needs household workers, musicians

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said the country is hoping to sign a bilateral labor agreement with Russia. This, following the successful trip of President Rodrigo Duterte to the country.

Moscow has revealed it needs hundreds of household service workers, musicians and professionals.

Labor Chief Silvestre Bello III said the two countries have yet to sign an agreement because Russia wanted it to be a government-to-government deal.

“Medyo mahirap kasi kasama sa deployment ang household service workers,” Bello told ABS-CBN news.

Minimum salary for household workers in Russia ranges from Php50,000 to Php75,000.00.

“Mababait ang mga Russo. Sa lahat ng mga na-meet ko na OFW, walang nagrereklamo na minamaltrato, pinagsasamantalahan, kulang sahod. In other words, they are satisfied,” Bello added.
