Saudi police arrested an Arab man who posted a film online showing him talking to Saudi girls inside a restaurant in violation of existing laws.
The film on SnapChat triggered widespread anger in the conservative Gulf Kingdom and calls on the police to track down the man and arrest him.
Sada newspaper said the incident, involving an Arab talking to three Saudi girls at a restaurant in the capital Riyadh, took place a few days ago and that police managed to identify him and a friend who was heard in the background talking to him.
“Police arrested the man today and are in the process of identifying and arresting his friend for violating existing laws and traditions which emphasize decency and good behavior in public places,” the paper said.
