Supreme Court suspends Larry Gadon for abusive language

The Supreme Court has ordered the suspension of lawyer and former senatorial candidate Larry Gadon over foul language, according to an ABS-CBN report.

Gadon, who gained popularity, when he filed an impeachment case against former Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno, was suspended for three months over his use of abusive language towards a doctor and a fellow lawyer.

The infamous lawyer also solicited reactions over his expression of “mga bobo” during his campaign trail. He has handled controversial cases like being the legal counsel of Peter Advincula alias Bikoy.

Gadon’s suspension came from a disbarment case filed against him in 2009 involving a mall-based healthcare facility.

The Supreme Court said Gadon’s statements violated Court rules which prohibits lawyers from using abusive, offensive or improper language. The resolution tells Gadon to control his “emotional outbursts.”

Gadon on the other hand told ABS-CBN News that the suspension is not yet in effect because he has yet to receive a copy of the order.

Gadon has 4 other disbarment cases filed against him pending at the Supreme Court.
