Despite issuing statements that Star City could still possibly operate this Christmas season, the amusement park management said with finality that it will cease to operate until further notice.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the temporary cessation of park operations until a full assessment of the situation can be made,” Star City said in a Facebook post.
“We will be making further announcements in due course,” the statement added.
The Pasay Fire Department said that Star City’s main building has been damaged by about 80 percent. The fire lasted for 14 hours.
“A large portion of the park is inoperable without major repair and reconstruction,” the management said.
Star City has asked the public for understanding as they reconstruct and rebuild the amusement park.
