Celebrities do not usually tackle important social issues on their social media accounts— But Kapamilya star Angelica Panganiban took a different route and shared her thoughts on the current traffic problem.
In a series of tweet on September 26, Panganiban asked her followers about the state of traffic problem in the country today.
“Question… tatanggapin na lang ba natin ang sistema ng traffic ng bansa natin?” she tweeted.
The actress did not disclose what prompted her series of tweets on traffic. She continued her rants by saying half of the Filipinos’ lives are being spent on traffic.
“So yung buhay natin, kalahating naubos sa kotse, kalahating stressed?”she added.
The actress then called out government officials for not doing enough. She questioned how some of them can work given the current traffic situation.
“Tapos, walang care yung government? Naglalakad lang ba sila papuntang work? Or nakakalipad sila nang hindi natin alam?” she said.
Some netizens immediately agreed with Angelica while others said commuters don’t have enough choice.
“Tao tayo. Mamamayan tayo. Bakit walang choice? Bakit mo tatanggapin ang hindi tama? In this lifetime hindi tayo aalma sa traffic?” Angelica explained.
