Saudi royal guard killed, Filipino hurt in shooting

A Saudi royal guard was killed and his Filipino worker was injured when the guard’s friend opened fire at them following an argument before the perpetrator was shot dead by the police.

Major General Abdul Aziz Al Fagm was visiting his friend at the Al Shanti district in Jeddah when another friend came in and an argument erupted following an old rift.

The man pulled out a gun and shot Fagm many times before shooting Fagm’s friend who tried to stop him, Sada newspaper said.

Fagm was killed instantly while his friend and a Filipino worker were injured and taken to hospital, it said.

“The killer then tried to escape but security men were already surrounding the house… he clashed with them and was killed,” it added.
