An Arab man is on trial in Sharjah on charges of swearing and threatening another Arab worker for refusing to pay his money back for nearly 5 years.
The defendant denied swearing or making threats but an Asian witness testified that he heard him uttering obscene words.
“The defendant told the judge that he spoke in Persian while the witness is Asian, who cannot understand Persian,” the official daily Emarat Al Youm said.
“The defendant said that he did shout at the Arab for refusing to pay his money back but did not swear or make any threat.”
At the end of hearings, the judge adjourned the session to October 15.
