UK warns residents not to bring Marijuana-based products to UAE

The United Kingdom (UK) government has issued a strong warning to its residents traveling to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) not to bring any Cannabis or Marijuana based products may it be in the form of body lotion or electronic cigarettes.

The British government has recognized UAE’s zero tolerance when it comes to these products.

“Some skincare products and E-cigarette refills may contain ingredients that are illegal in the UAE, such as CBD oil,” the British government said in a statement.

CBD oil contains cannabidiol, a substance extracted from Marijuana plants.

The product can be bought legally in Europe as long as it has less amount of its psychoactive substance.

CBD also gained popularity with cosmetic products due to its supposed anti-inflammatory properties.

The British government said that the smallest amount of CBD when found can jail someone in the UAE.
