Immigration operatives arrested an American national over alleged pedophilia cases in Angeles City, Pampanga.
Authorities said 49 year-old Samuel Thompson was arrested in a subdivision in the city.
Thompson is a convicted sex offender and authorities have been hunting him down for allegedly engaging in child pornography and illegal possession of firearms in Florida, police said.
The American national went to Manila last July after an arrest warrant was issued him by a US court due to child pornography cases, according to police.
Thomson has been convicted in 1998 for sexually abusing a 15-year-old boy.
The foreigner is now detained at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig, City.
He will be deported to his home country because he is considered as an undesirable alien, authorities said.
Thompson is also placed in the Immigration blacklist, it was also gathered.
