Al Ain cops smash large vice ring

Police in the Eastern oasis town of Al-Ain have arrested 14 Asians on charges of indulging in prostitution, newspapers said on Monday.

Acting on a tip-off, the cops raided an apartment suspected of running the vice den by sending women to customers for Dh3,000.

The 14, including men and women, were all found to have sneaked illegally into the UAE and absconded from illegal employers.

“Police arrested an Asian man who headed the ring… he was sending women to customers from that apartment,” the Arabic language daily Al Khaleej said.
