P27-million shabu seized, drug suspect killed in Quezon City sting op

At least P27 million worth of shabu was seized while a drug suspect was killed in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City today, Sunday.

Police identified the fatality as Edgar Alfonso.

In a cnnphilippines.com report, police said Alfonso transacted with an undercover agent in Barangay San Roque.

Police said the suspect sensed that he was transacting with a policeman and opened fire.

The suspect hit the policeman and tried to escape.

Police gave chase and a shootout occurred.

The chase reached del Pilar Street where the suspect was eventually killed.

Police recovered a .45 caliber pistol and a bag containing at least four kilos of suspected shabu.

Police Major General Guillermo Eleazar, Metro Manila Police Chief, said the suspect was considered a “high-value” target based on the quantity of the seized illegal drugs.
