An Asian porter at Dubai’s international airport is on trial in the emirate on charges of stealing two mangoes from a passenger’s bag.
The 27-year-old porter confessed to the prosecutor that he pinched the two mangoes but defended the act on the grounds he was thirsty.
Police arrested the porter after security cameras showed him pulling two mangoes from a passenger’s bag just before his flight departure.
“He told the prosecutor that he felt thirsty and looked in the bag for water but found mango,” the official daily Albayan reported.
