The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) suspended the medical license of an Emirati doctor following her alleged false claims of being a stem cell expert.
The doctor, who claimed to be a leading expert in stem cell treatment, appeared on several local television programmes talking about the future of medicine and medical techniques.
However, it was found that her medical degree in college is not recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education. This, after she released to the public her medical degree as a two-year physician’s qualifications from Central American Health Institute in Belize.
She showed her medical degree as an answer to netizens questioning her qualifications.
In a statement on Twitter, the DHA said her licence would remain suspended until her qualifications are validated, as per a report from The National.
