Baguio City launches ‘microchipping’ for pets

Baguio City’s Veterinary Office has launched pet microchipping in order to fast track searching for lost pets in the city.

The office says that at least 200 pets have gone missing every year, which is why they pushed for a microchipping program.

Pet microchipping costs 200 pesos to 300 pesos.

The microchip will include the pet’s name, address of the owner, and other relevant information for the return of the lost pet.

The City Veterinary Office said that it will not violate the Animal Welfare Act and it will be just like a normal injection.
