Ex-OFW from South Korea kills himself after denied application

An Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) from South  Korea has committed suicide by hanging in Echague, Isabela after undergoing a severe depression.

The 29-year-old OFW allegedly committed suicide after his application was denied.

Police officials told Bombo Radyo that the man suffered depression because he was the breadwinner of his family and the denial of his application to go back means that he could no longer provide for them.

The man reportedly attempted to kill himself first in the afternoon, but his relatives thwarted his plan.

The former OFW was working on a poultry farm along with one of his siblings in Echague. He was found dead the next day at around 10 in the morning.
