A Filipino sailor of Greek-based bulk carrier Alpha Bravery has been missing since September 1, his devastated family members said as they appealed for help.
The family of Rogelio Dalen Balahay, Jr. of Barangay Progreso in Alicia town, Bohol now appeals for help and prayers.
Balahay, 31, went missing while onboard the bulk carrier from Brazil to Singapore, according to a Facebook post by Marino PH, a community of Filipino seafarers.
In his last Facebook message to his family last August 30, 2019, he told them of death threats he received from his shipmates.
Balahay has been working as a crew for almost nine months at the ship.
He is set to go home this October to plan for his wedding in January 2020.
