Filipino vehicle inspector in Dubai stands trial

Two vehicle inspectors in Dubai are now facing trial for allegedly accepting Dh750 worth of bribes from motorists.

The two inspectors, Filipino and Pakistani, allegedly allowed defective cars to pass through inspection and license renewal, reported Khaleej Times.

The two will not conduct the test but would issue a ‘passed’ result.

Authorities sent an asset to check on their scheme and tried to have a defective car be tested.

They were arrested in October last year. The trial continues on September 16.
