An Asian girl who was brought to the UAE to work as a waitress in a restaurant in Khor Fakkan discovered that she is in a brothel and the job is a prostitute.
The girl was met at the airport with a smile by a man of the same nationality before he took her to an apartment where he sold her to another Asian for Dh5,000.
Two days later, the unidentified girl asked the ringleader who was with another Asian man and a woman to take her to the restaurant to start work.
But he reacted angrily, telling her that there is no such a restaurant job and that she must sleep with customers to make money.
“She discovered that she was being kept in a brothel… when she tried to protest, the ring leader beat her up,” the Arabic language daily Al Khaleej said.
“She later managed to escape and went straight to the police… the three men and the woman were arrested and charged of human trafficking and assault.”
