Pinoy in Colorado to spend 5 years in probation for sexual exploitation

A Filipino in Colorado, United States will be spending five years in an intensive form of probation intended for sex offenders.

Uny Nabua was recently released after spending 18 months in jail. The man pleaded guilty last March on the sexual exploitation of a child by watching pornography featuring male children and showing it to his fellow restaurant worker.

After his five-year probation, Nabua will also be registered as a sex offender for 10 years and will not be allowed to have contact with anyone younger than 18.

“The law is clear that nowhere in the world is it acceptable for children to be subjected to the kinds of acts depicted in the materials Mr. Nabua was viewing,” a Colorado Court judge told ‘The Aspen Times’.

“But the mere description of those images is chilling and nauseating and can leave me with little doubt as to why the Legislature views it as such a serious offense,” the judge added.

The Court added that Nabua is a good candidate for treatment. He was released from jail in June.
