‘Kuha sa CCTV’ Sotto reveals another side of Gretchen Diez story

Senate President Tito Sotto isn’t convinced that transgender woman Gretchen Diez is telling the whole story.

Diez was involved in a viral incident where in she was prevented from using the female restroom.

Sotto said that he was able to obtain the CCTV footage of what happened and he will present it in a Senate hearing.

“Dun pa lang may deception na eh sa balita sa viral video…Hindi pinakita kung ano ang nangyari before that,” Sotto told ABS-CBN News.

Sotto said that two women complained about Diez’s usage of the female restroom. The mall staff the asked Diez to use the PWD restroom instead.

“May pila sa ladies’ room. Hindi naman nila pinansin kasi wala naman silang nakitang hitsurang lalaki,” he said.

Sotto said that another woman complained about Diez using the female’s restroom.

Itinuro siya dun sa PWD, or doon sa other nila, third toilet nila,” he said.

The janitress left Diez but when she returned she saw the transwoman doing a Facebook live video.

So walang problema sa kababaihan. Pero paano ‘yung mukhang lalake, na lalake pala…They feel awkward. Marami ang nagsasabi sa amin,” he said.
