A worker at a construction firm in Fujairah took his senior architect to court just because the engineer told him not to argue with him.
The unnamed worker filed a case in court accusing the architect of offending him online when he was told by his senior in a message that he must not argue and must only provide him with the needed information.
“The worker said he was insulted by this expression while the prospector charged the architect of committing an online offence,” Emarat Al Youm daily said.
Defending himself, the unidentified architect said he was surprised by the worker’s complaint on the grounds he only asked for information and did not abuse him.
He added: “Does this affect his dignity… as a project engineer I have the right to obtain more accurate information instead of wasting my time… the worker should be more rational and less sensitive because our type of work requires accuracy as a slight mistake could cause a delay and large losses.”
The paper said the judge decided to postpone the session for a sentence.
