New Hajj Attache at PH Consulate in Jeddah assumes office

The new Hajj Attache at the Philippine Consulate in Jeddah has formally assumed office on August 14.

President Rodrigo Duterte appointed Ahmad Balindong as the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) Hajj Attache on August 9. He recently assumed the position in Jeddah through the facilitation of Philippine Ambassador to Saudi Arabia H.E. Adnan Alonto and Philippine Consul General Edgar Badajos.

Balindong will handle all relevant interests and concerns of Muslim Filipinos intending to undergo the hajj pilgrimage, according to the release from the Public Relations and Information Division, Bureau of External Relations of NCMF.

Balindong, a graduate from the University of Manila with a degree in Civil Engineering, has worked for 27 years in Makkah as an Arabic translator and interpreter. He also worked as an administrative officer for Southeast Asia concerning the charitable works of the Dr. Abdullah Omar Nasif Foundation.
