A Saudi man in his 20s fell to his death in water well while trying to fix a pump at the wellhead in his car in the Gulf Kingdom.
Civil defence units rushed to the farm in the Western town of Mahd Ad Dahab after receiving phone calls that a man had plunged into the well.
Relatives and neighbours tried to lift him out of the 11-metre-high well but could not reach him, according to local newspapers.
Civil defence men dangled into the well found the man was already dead, the papers said, adding that the body was lifted out and taken to hospital for forensic examination.
