Saudi Embassy in Jakarta lays down 7 strict rules for its citizens

The Saudi embassy in Indonesia has told its citizens in the Asian country to obtain a prior Saudi government approval before they marry an Indonesian:

The advice was one of 7 commandments issued by the Gulf Kingdom’s embassy in Jakarta to Saudis in Indonesia to ensure they are not involved in legal problems, according to the Saudi Ajel newspaper.

The second advice was to avoid paying any money to civil servants and logistics workers at airports, the paper said.

The instructions also include:
– Do not donate funds to any group in Indonesia and you must seek advice from the Saudi embassy before considering any donations.
– You must avoid dealing or taking drugs as drug dealers could be executed in Indonesia while abusers for personal use are jailed 4 years.
– Make sure that you comply with flight schedules at Indonesia’s airports.
– Do not exceed the 30-day visa duration as overstay involves large fines.
– Avoid suspicious persons and places and be careful during your stay.
