Pinay bound for Tokyo intercepted at NAIA with fake passport

A Filipino bound for Tokyo, Japan was barred from leaving the country for possessing a fake passport at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA)Terminal 1.

The Bureau of Immigration said that the 19 year-old Filipina presented an itenary in Jeju and in Tokyo together with her Japanese boyfriend for a vacation.

An Immigration officer however noticed that her passport does not contain the usual security features.

After thorough test and investigation, BI confirmed that it was a fake passport.

The Filipina said she applied for the passport through a person online.

She said paid Php2,000 to an alleged fixer to deliver her passport.

Immigration officials noticed that her passport was issued in 2016 and not last month.
